Christoph has a unique way with financial planning, he helps you understand not just what to do with the dollars and cents but also your relationship to the dollars and cents. How we work with our money is now quite different and we thank Christoph for this (and his amazing capacity for information and numbers). Being on the other side of the country provides no barrier to the quality of the advice or service we receive.

I have had several other financial advisers over the years and I am very content with Christoph. His calm manner always puts me at ease.

As an older divorced woman who had had little experience with money matters I had several financial dealings to work through. For instance: a superannuation split, a protracted divorce settlement, a sale of an investment property,  a considerable loss from a mortgage loan to a family member, contradictory advice from experts, plans to sell my home and buy another etc. 

Christoph has been a great ally when I had stressful deadlines.

One was when my investments were being rolled over. There were hold-ups with getting investments released– even the mail seemed to be so slow I feared my documents had been lost – and I urgently needed my new pension to start. Christoph kept close communication with me about what was happening and let me know as soon as the documents had arrived and exactly when the pension could start.

The second occasion was when I was waiting for someone to sign documents so that a property could be sold and the funds transferred into my new super before my 65th birthday. After that birthday, I could not put the funds into the tax-free super environment which could have cost me thousands every year in tax for the rest of my life. I had been advised by my accountant that that would not be a problem but in fact it would have been. Fortunately, Christoph, having maintained a more complete picture of my overall finances, was able to urge me to act and again assisted me in various ways to meet that deadline (which came down to a matter of days).

Most unusual is his willingness to mentor me in how to communicate more effectively in business situations – such as getting an urgent response from a lawyer. His wife and business partner, Nicola, also coached me with humour in how to change my nice, polite old lady ways in order to get results.

Apart from his clear communication and his unusual insight into the world of investment, I value Christoph for helping me to have a grasp of matters that most of my life have seemed incomprehensible or overwhelming. I have become a woman who feels in control of her finances. And my finances are a source of pride, pleasure and interest for me now. It is definitely “in my interest” to have Christoph Schnelle as my adviser.

Christoph is a remarkably astute and insightful individual whose breadth of knowledge and expertise in financial planning was invaluable in helping to guide and inform our investment decisions. Someone I can ask the really ‘dumb’ questions I would be too embarrassed to ask other professionals, not just out of ignorance but because I know I won’t understand the answer!
